Proofreader with knowledge of English

Due to business expansion, we are looking for an English-proficient PROOFREADER for permanent employment with translation department

Requirements to candidates:

  • University Degree or final-year student (education in the field of linguistics is a plus);
  • Fluent English (written), knowledge of second language will be a serious advantage;
  • Excellent knowledge of Russian, Ukrainian (very high level of literacy, sense of style);
  • Previous collaboration with translation agencies or work experience as a proofreader is a plus;
  • Professional motivation, attentive and responsible attitude to work, willingness to learn and improve existing skills.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Identification and correction of spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors;
  • Tracking the completeness of translation (absence of gaps, incomplete translations);
  • Verification of translated document make-up (illustrations, tables, lists etc.);
  • Verification of digits (comparison of translated text with the original);
  • Ensuring of text element uniformity (headings, execution of lists, names);
  • Identification of evident stylistic and semantic errors.

Job conditions:

  • Decent wage. The amount of compensation to be discussed following the results of a test job (sent by e-mail);
  • Work schedule: 09:00 – 18:00 (Mon-Fri); flexible work schedule is possible (if so agreed);
